What You're Here to Do
You're an AI scientist who knows how to talk to clients without drowning them in jargon. Instead of sticking to a single stack or staying behind a screen modeling, you jump into pre-sales calls on short notice, ask the right questions to scope a POC, then deliver it end to end. You work hand in hand with our sales and pre-sales people, but you're the one who turns ideas into demos that close deals. Concretely, that means running 1 to 3 POCs in parallel while joining several client (or internal) calls a week, across a range of technologies from agents and large language models to computer vision and IoT. Nobody will tell you what to do day to day: you set your priorities, you scope your work, and you move things forward through ambiguity.
What You'll Drive
- Understand a client's need, assess ROI and define a POC scope that holds up
- Build proofs of concept from A to Z (most of your time), in Python or with the appropriate tools
- Join client calls with sales and pre-sales to answer technical questions and explain clearly what we can (and can't) do
- Spot the pitfalls of a project, name them clearly, and propose how to address them
- Work primarily on LLMs and agents: data extraction from emails and PDFs, workflow automation, contextualization on client data
- Work secondarily on computer vision and IoT: physical quality control, automated visual sortingContribute occasionally to general machine learning and operations research, when the client context calls for it
Your Profile
- You have a solid 5 years of corporate experience after your studies
- You hold a master's or doctoral degree in AI or a related field
- You're perfectly bilingual in French and English
- You have hands-on experience with agents for data extraction and workflow automation
- You've shown you can move forward through ambiguity and define the scope of your own mandates
- You naturally translate complex concepts for both technical and business audiences
- You're a mix of AI scientist and salesperson, comfortable jumping on a client call with little preparation

Patates Dolbec is the largest potato producer in eastern Canada. By implementing AI in their sorting machine, we have fully automated their quality control process, as well as avoided the waste of nearly 500,000 pounds of potatoes per year!
