What you'll do with us
The Top Geek is the person we call when the problem is too big for a single team. You're the technical go-to for our Tech Leads: you make the call on technology choices, design architectures, and scope projects before they're even sold. If you want to have an impact beyond your own team, keep both hands in the tech, and take on the challenges no one else wants to tackle, let's talk! Here, you don't manage anyone in the traditional sense. Your influence comes from your expertise.
What you'll drive with us
- Design the cloud architecture and software solution with presales architects, assessing the real impact on project costs
- Estimate cloud infrastructure spending and produce accurate overall estimates with presales, other Top Geeks, and sales specialists
- Join presales architects in client meetings to present and explain technical concepts in plain terms
- Guide Tech Leads on technology choices from the start of each project to keep what we deploy consistent
- Provide ad hoc support: quick technical assistance, analysis of client and team needs, and continuous improvements to existing systems
- Identify Tech Leads' skills and growth opportunities to help them progress
- Stay on top of tech trends and proactively integrate AI into your day-to-day work. We don't just sell it, we use it
Your profile
- You're an experienced Tech Lead who keeps your hands in the tech. This isn't a management role
- You have a strong background in cloud architecture, DevOps, and software architecture, with a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- You're comfortable with most of our stack: JavaScript/TypeScript, C#/.NET, React/React Native, Node.js, Python, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure/AWS/GCP
- You make the call and stand behind your positions, while debating transparently, staying open to others' ideas, and knowing how to question yourself
- You quickly make sense of complex situations and you're comfortable working with ambiguity
- You naturally simplify complex topics and communicate clearly at every level, from CTO to junior dev, on both strategic and operational matters
- You're rigorous and organized: you're the team's safety net

You can choose between 35, 37.5 or 40-hour weeks. What’s more, each hour of overtime will be paid!

Patates Dolbec is the largest potato producer in eastern Canada. By implementing AI in their sorting machine, we have fully automated their quality control process, as well as avoided the waste of nearly 500,000 pounds of potatoes per year!

Did you know that threat detection on pipelines is currently done by pilots, who must fly over hundreds of kilometres while inspecting the infrastructure for potential dangers. The application we’re working on helps the pilot detect, validate, and report potential threats that the human eye and brain cannot process consistently.
Flyscan allowed us to try all sorts of new methodologies and to carry out their project the way we wanted!
