DESCRIPTION
We're Vooban, an AI firm with offices in Quebec City and Montreal. For us, AI isn't a buzzword in a PowerPoint deck. It's our main tool. As Team Lead, you'll lead a team of agent developers in a highly regulated banking environment. Compliance, security, unclear specs, and technical debt don't stop you: you use them to help your team and the project grow. Your role has two sides that always move together. One is a high-performing, happy team. The other is a client who is satisfied with the agentic solution you deliver. You're not a manager who stays on the bridge giving orders. You're the captain of the ship, with your hands in the engine as much as on the wheel: you contribute to code and architecture when your team needs it, and you keep the course set on the destination.
What you'll drive
- Manage your team day to day: prioritization, workload, quality, and delivery pace
- Hold regular 1:1s, give direct feedback, and follow each person's development goals
- Spot signs of disengagement or overload before they become problems, and act
- Own client satisfaction: proactive communication, managing expectations, and adjusting fast when things go sideways
- Get hands-on with code, architecture reviews, and debugging when the situation calls for it
- Ensure the governance and ethics of every agent delivered (explainability, transparency, security by design) against banking compliance standards
- Grow your team's skills in agentic architectures, prompt engineering, and AI-powered development
- Represent your team in strategic project decisions and bridge what's happening on the ground with the client's priorities
Your profile
- 5 to 8 years of professional software development, including at least 1 to 2 years deploying LLM solutions, plus first experience managing or coaching a team (formal or informal)
- You've mastered Claude Code (this one really matters), plus Codex, OpenCode, or Amp, well enough to coach your team on them
- Advanced command of agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or proprietary solutions
- Strong in Java and/or GoLang, Python, and Node.js, enough to stay credible and contribute when needed
- Solid understanding of RAG, prompt engineering, and integrating LLMs (Claude, GPT-4, Llama 3), enough to guide your team's decisions
- AWS (Landing Zone and Bedrock) is a major asset
- Experience in highly regulated environments (finance, insurance, healthcare) and their security and compliance standards
- A people-first leader who grows people as much as the product, with active listening and the judgment to step in at the right time
- You can explain cutting-edge concepts simply, influence technical decisions, and advocate for your team with the client
- DEC or bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field

Did you know that threat detection on pipelines is currently done by pilots, who must fly over hundreds of kilometres while inspecting the infrastructure for potential dangers. The application we’re working on helps the pilot detect, validate, and report potential threats that the human eye and brain cannot process consistently.
Flyscan allowed us to try all sorts of new methodologies and to carry out their project the way we wanted!

Patates Dolbec is the largest potato producer in eastern Canada. By implementing AI in their sorting machine, we have fully automated their quality control process, as well as avoided the waste of nearly 500,000 pounds of potatoes per year!
