What You're Here to Do
At Vooban, there's no server room. No racks, no cables to untangle in a basement. Everything lives in the cloud, most people work on a Mac, and the IT team is small, autonomous, and sits right next to the people it supports. We're adding an IT technician role in Quebec City. You're the first line for Vooban employees' technical requests, from a forgotten password to level-2 incidents that need real digging. This is a role with real autonomy. There aren't three levels of approval before changing a configuration. You diagnose, you decide, you document.
What You'll Drive
- Respond to user requests via Slack, email and our Jira ticketing system, and resolve them fully rather than passing them along
- Diagnose and fix common issues such as workstations, printers, network connections and system access
- Take ownership of more complex or recurring incidents, the ones that require understanding the root cause instead of restarting and hoping
- Manage our device fleet: provisioning, configuration and management of Macs and workstations through our MDM
- Administer accounts and access in Google Workspace and internal tools like Greenhouse, BambooHR and Jira
- Support teams on our cloud environments (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) and our offices' UniFi network stack
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team on endpoint protection with SentinelOne and on applying our best practices
- Contribute to projects that improve our systems and IT infrastructure
- Document your work in the knowledge base, so the next identical case takes 5 minutes instead of 2 hours
- Proactively integrate AI tools into your day-to-day. We work in AI, and we expect you to use it to move faster
Your Profile
- You hold a vocational diploma or college diploma in IT, or equivalent experience
- You have 3 to 5 years of technical support experience and you handle level-2 cases on your own
- MacOS isn't an exception in your day-to-day, it's your day-to-day. Same for Google Workspace
- You're resourceful and like figuring things out yourself
- Customer service matters as much as technical skill to you. The people you help are colleagues, not ticket numbers
- A 100% cloud environment, with no on-site server, doesn't throw you off, and you have some cybersecurity knowledge (an asset)
- You're based in the Quebec City area and available to be in the office 2 days a week
