Data scientists invent. You make sure it holds up in production. You'll become the go-to technical expert for Python and AI on our projects, build the tools that bring AI into production reliably, and move from one project to the next (5 to 10 at a time) without missing a beat.
What you'll drive
- Define Python and AI requirements and architectures for the team's projects.
- Bring the data scientists' work into production (deployment, quality, patterns and best practices), working with them day to day.
- Ensure the quality and robustness of deployed AI solutions.
- Work on cloud and deployment, without acting as a dedicated DevOps, and know when to bring in a specialist.
- Standardize, document and share development and deployment practices so all teams can reuse them.
- Build the tools and skills that support integrating AI into production, with an agentic approach.
- Support 5 to 10 AI projects at a time, on a rotating basis, and get up to speed quickly in a new context.
- Independently identify projects' technical needs and proactively integrate AI tools into your work, collaborating with the Top Geeks to evolve how the AI team works.
Your profile
- You're based in Quebec City or Montreal. Remote work is possible, but you're willing to come into the office regularly whenever needed.
- You have a degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field (no specialized AI training required).
- You have 3 to 6 years of software development experience (ideally around 4), including architecture, deployment and production best practices. MLOps experience is an asset.
- Python is second nature to you, and you have solid exposure to AI and agentic systems, though we don't expect data scientist–level expertise.
- You're comfortable with cloud and DevOps environments (Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform interest you), without being a dedicated DevOps: you know how to step in and when to bring in a specialist.
- You have strong written English (required, to work with our tools and some English-speaking colleagues). Spoken English is an asset.
- You take care of your codebase like a Gandalf of best practices, you love learning and stepping outside your comfort zone, you perform well under pressure during certain sprints, and ideally, you're a fan of dad jokes.

Patates Dolbec is the largest potato producer in eastern Canada. By implementing AI in their sorting machine, we have fully automated their quality control process, as well as avoided the waste of nearly 500,000 pounds of potatoes per year!
